Employment Opportunities

We are looking for a few more RNs to join the team on our Youth Development Program

We provide nurses on-site and on-call during those camps in the summers and school year weekends. During the summer, a nurse would be responsible for medications, record keeping, parent communication, and any medical needs or emergencies as they arise. Each week (summer camps run Sunday-Friday, June 24-August 10) will have a nurse to cover days and another for nights, with overlapping times late afternoon); at present, we're looking for a few more individuals to join us during the days, willing to take 2-4 weeks. Pay is $500 per session (Sunday-Friday).
Successful applicants will also be asked to join us during the school year for camp weekends, which run Friday-Sunday.
Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check, be over 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

We are currently seeking staff for Summer 2018

We are a Delaware-based 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that fulfills founder Lydia Chichester du Pont's vision to help children with special needs reach their highest potential, and benefit from the same healing qualities that she had derived from the coastal environment. (Camp is ON the beach at Delaware Bay!) Our campers are all Delaware residents with financial need and various communicative disorders—barriers related to speech, hearing, auditory processing, and some mild orthopedic needs.

We run residential (overnight) camps during the summer, and during the school year we hold weekend programs for the same campers. Campers and staff arrive Friday afternoon and stay on site until Sunday. Staff responsibilities include leading and running activities, supervising campers at meals and at bedtime, and providing additional support to campers and other staff as needed.
You must be enthusiastic, flexible, available to stay on site all weekend (specific dates to be discussed at interview), and have a demonstrated experience or interest in working with children. This is a great opportunity for college or grad students, as well as teachers, looking to expand their experience and earn some extra money! Background checks will be performed at time of hire. Staff must be at least 18 and a year out of high school.
