Children’s Beach House is calling on supporters to donate through the Do More 24 Delaware 24-hour giving campaign taking place starting March 6 at 6:00 p.m. The event is powered by United Way Delaware and Spur Impact, and is designed to showcase the vital work of nonprofits serving Delawareans. Any donation CBH receives during the campaign will see its impact increased via event incentives and pledge matches.

“The needs in these uncertain times are dire for some families,” says CBH Executive Director Rich Garrett. “As the world changes and people adapt as fast as possible, it’s imperative that our kids, especially those facing unique challenges, are not left behind.”

Children’s Beach House is responding to increasing community needs with an expansion of services in Milton. Beginning in March, CBH will offer afterschool programming at Milton Elementary School and H.O. Brittingham Elementary School. “These hours are a crucial window for kids and working parents,” says Jacqueline Donaldson, director of the Youth Development Program. “For families to know that their children have a safe place to be after school, where they can continue learning and interacting positively with their peers — that’s everything.” CBH will also offer day camps at Milton Elementary this summer.

Do More 24 runs from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 until 6:00 p.m. on March 7. Donations to CBH can be made at bit.ly/domore24cbh. Children’s Beach House is a 501(c)(3) working across Delaware to build a world where all children thrive.
