Mahj for a Cause is a social fundraising event benefiting Children’s Beach House in Lewes, Delaware. Set along the Delaware Bay, the evening brings together friends, neighbors, and Mahjong enthusiasts for a relaxed night of good food, live music, and open play in support of children and families throughout Delaware.

Guests will enjoy happy hour from 5:00–7:00 PM featuring catered cuisine by Greater Good Events, followed by Mahjong open play from 7:00–9:00 PM accompanied by live music from Rick Arzt. Whether you’re an experienced Mahjong player or simply looking for a fun and unique night out near Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, Mahjong by the Bay offers a welcoming atmosphere overlooking the water at Children’s Beach House.

Proceeds from the event support Children’s Beach House programs serving children with speech, language, and communication challenges through inclusive educational and developmental programming that builds confidence, connection, and independence. For nearly 90 years, Children’s Beach House has helped children and families across Delaware reach their full potential through programs rooted in community, opportunity, and belonging.

Located at 1800 Bay Avenue in Lewes, Delaware, Children’s Beach House offers a one-of-a-kind waterfront setting along the Delaware Beaches. Guests are encouraged to gather with friends, enjoy the bayside atmosphere, and take part in an evening that combines community impact with one of the fastest-growing social games in the country.
