Since September, our Family Engagement Coordinators have been on the road organizing social gatherings and service projects so our campers could continue to connect and feel supported. With camps back in session, we’re reminded just how incredible Lydia Chichester du Pont’s vision for Children’s Beach House was, and how important its work remains. CBH is more than a charity, and our home on the sand is more than a building. It’s a promise to Delaware’s children that despite the real estate races and the tourist traffic, there will always be a home and a second family for them just behind the dunes.
Because this is their beach, too.
This is their home, too.
This is their world, too.
And here they can say: “At Children’s Beach House, I know I belong.”
