Children’s Beach House gratefully acknowledges Burke & Herbert Bank for a generous $2,500 donation in support of its Youth Development Program. “We are deeply appreciative of Burke & Herbert Bank’s investment in the children and families we serve,” said CBH Executive Director Rich Garrett.
Children’s Beach House supports young people across the state who come from under-resourced homes and live with communicative challenges. At its bayfront facility in Lewes, campers experience sailing, arts and crafts, theater and music, and form lifelong friendships with peers and adults. At Milton Elementary School and H.O. Brittingham Elementary School, CBH offers afterschool and summer day camp programming that gives students a safe place for tutoring, crafts, and games that strengthen social-emotional skills. “Support like this helps us create a place where young people with challenges are seen, centered, and celebrated, and where they can build lives of hope and possibility,” said Garrett.
“We are proud to support Children’s Beach House and the transformational work it does for children and families across Delaware,” said Kelly Stevenson, V.P. Business Banking Officer at Burke & Herbert Bank. “We are honored to support a community partner that helps young people feel supported, valued, and empowered to build bright futures.”
