A Note from the Executive Director

Dear first name,
Can you feel it? There's a sense of achievement in the air. Maybe it's in your house too — that swelling sense of pride from a fifth grader getting ready for middle school. Or a high school graduate celebrating their successes and preparing for adulthood. It's a privilege to share space with a child or youth who is discovering themselves — their talents and passion, their power and their potential.
Watershed moments like graduation are opportunities to look back on long-term growth, but the reality is that our kids are achieving things each and every day. In fact, the big successes in life wouldn't be possible without the incremental achievements that come with opening ourselves to healthy risk, believing our

community when they say it's safe to try something new, and pushing ourselves to reimagine what we're capable of. Some days that looks like simply making it through to tomorrow. And then one day, it looks like walking across the stage to get your diploma.
Our kids will be racking up achievements all summer with ongoing preschool classes, day camps at Milton Elementary School, and sleepaway camp here at Children's Beach House. I hope you'll come by to witness what happens when kids face their challenges in a safe, supportive environment.

Meet the new Philanthropy Team
|
We've been called the Advancement Team and the Development Department, so you might be wondering why our name has changed again. While our name may be new, our work is the same: Bringing our community of supporters together to enable CBH's work with children and families across the state. Our new name is a reminder of what lies at the heart of that work: phil + anthropy means "love of humanity," and it's that love that motivates us all — volunteers, donors, and staff — to be a part of CBH 's mission.

Summer Camp Staff Reports for Training
|
Last Sunday afternoon, ten young adults arrived at Children's Beach House with high hopes and higher energy! Our residential summer camp counselors will be training for the next two weeks before campers arrive on June 21. Their agenda includes important information about how to keep kids physically safe in spaces like our challenge course, our pool, and the bay, as well as how to help kids navigate the emotions and relationship strains that come with communal living.
We are proud to welcome this bright, capable, and energetic staff as they shepherd CBH campers through a fantastic summer!
