Clear Space Theater Gives Back to Children’s Beach House

(L to R): CST Managing Director Joe Gfaller, CST Interim Creative Director Candice Jewell, CBH Director of Communications Jonathan Freeman-Coppadge

Children’s Beach House thanks Clear Space Theatre for a generous $3,241.25 donation, representing 50% of ticket sales from the May 9 matinée performance of Dear Evan Hansen. The contribution was made through the theater’s “Clear Space Gives Back” initiative, wherein it selects local nonprofit partners whose missions reflect its commitment to community impact. Children’s Beach House is honored to be among the organizations chosen for this support.

Dear Evan Hansen is about connection, belonging, and the importance of making sure no one feels alone or forgotten,” said Joe Gfaller, managing director of Clear Space Theatre. “That message made Children’s Beach House a natural partner for this performance, because their work helps children and families feel supported, seen, and connected to a community that cares about them.”

Founded in 1937, Children’s Beach House helps children, youth, and families build on their strengths through year-round programs focused on early childhood education, positive youth development, educational enrichment, family support, and inclusive community experiences. “Next year, Children’s Beach House will celebrate its 90th anniversary,” said CBH Director of Communications Jonathan Freeman-Coppadge said upon receiving the check on behalf of the organization. “That kind of legacy would not be possible without the support of patrons and organizations like Clear Space who commit to seeing, hearing, and believing in those who would otherwise be left behind.”
