Have you ever had your teen misread a social situation? Sometimes what looks like thoughtlessness is social confusion. It's something youth need to learn and apply for their futures and that is what we mean by the term social-emotional learning (SEL), and it's exactly the kind of learning we prioritize at camp. This weekend was all about social awareness how to read social cues and recognize the impact of their reactions to those cues.The rest of the weekend was full of adventure, relationship building, and what the teens hope to learn in the future. With an impromptu excursion to @CapeHenlopenStatePark and a trip to Dairy Queen. As well as a Trip to @ClearSpaceTheatre to see "A Raisin in the Sun". Campers also took beach walks, played sports, played board games, and cooked King Cakes with our incredible Chef Paula. We spent time reflecting on the weekend and the future weekends and summer weeks.
